I particularly like the penultimate paragraph:

"The government, which is concerned about parents taking their children out of school unnecessarily, has teamed up with the British travel industry to launch Every Lesson Counts, a new campaign to highlight the importance of uninterrupted terms. The Department for Education initiative also hopes to persuade travel agents to rethink their prices so that families are not forced to take cheaper, out-of-season breaks in term-time."

The government and British industry. A poor man's Molotov-Ribbentop pact.
